Any felling of a tree located on a private property or a public property of the Village of Senneville must be subject to a certificate of authorization, previously issued by the Village of Senneville, if it has a trunk of at least 10 cm in diameter, measured at a height of 1.4 m above ground level.
For ash trees, special arrangements shall be followed to comply with a ministerial decree issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) preventing the spread of EAB.
For pruning and or felling of an ash tree, the owner must complete the '' Tree cutting permit request '' and submit it to the municipal inspector.
No permit shall be issued for pruning and / or felling of an ash tree during periods of '' high risk'', that is to say, from April 15th to September 15th.
Snags and senescent trees, especially large trees, are particularly important as they provide adequate habitat for a wide range of organisms.
